ThermoStar is a good choice where sound level reductions are required. Upon coating the exterior walls of a structure, ThermoStar can effectively reduce interior noise by reflecting the sound back towards the source. The hollow ceramic microspheres within the coating forms a barrier that helps block and reflect sound, unlike other coatings that absorb sound and transmit noise.
As ThermoStar dries, water is released by evaporation.
The ceramic spheres then join and form a continuous union that is
bonded together by the elastomeric acrylic resin coating mixture.
While insulating and reducing sound the coating is also eliminating
harmful moisture penetration as well as providing many years of
ongoing beauty and protection.
